Basic Facebook Apps

Basic Facebook Apps is a greasemonkey script to remove all application boxes from viewed Facebook profiles except the most basic set. It doesn't help increase the performance of Facebook (as the page is fully downloaded before greasemonkey scripts are run), but it should help improve your personal experience on the site. This application does not remove any advertisements, or affect any pages beyond the profile pages. This script was in fact inspired by a conversation I had with Charlie Holmes about the Custom Facebook View script.

Whitelisted Apps

The following boxes are the only ones that will appear if the user whose profile is being viewed has enabled them.

• Education & Work Info
• Photos
• Posted Items
• Information
• Events
• Notes
• Local Network Friends
• Groups
• Gifts
• Mutual Friends
• Other Network Friends
• The Wall

Commented Apps

These applications are removed by default, but if you edit the script you'll find lines commented out to include them on the whitelist.
