- Site Administrator's Note: Too many applications and other crap being displayed on Facebook really is a problem. While I feel that the tone of the comment below is not really appropriate for a comment on my article (IMHO: it reads like spam), I decided to leave it on here because it's overall message is on track. I did a few changes, including updating the author's URL (reflecting the profile id of the group's creator), and cleaned up the referenced event URL as well. (ref=mf in a Facebook link is just a tracking thing indicating that someone clicked the link out of their mini-feed).

This is an event that begins June 15th and lasts the entire week. It's an event to try and get people to remove some of their apps on their profile. You may not be one of those people who adds every application known to man, but you should attend anyways and invite your friends. No wonder Facebook is trying out new ideas for layouts, people have way too much junk on their profiles! So please join, please spread the word, please try and be clutter free! Go to: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=23025026396 to join! Maybe it will inspire future habits!
